Weight loss / cutting / bulking fases

I like both sporting and eating. As a result I sometimes want to lose some weight.
I also go to the gym regularly for some strenght training.

Right now, doing this feels a bit as a black box. I don’t have the knowledge to understand at which part in my join training plan, leading up to a goal, it would be least disruptive to maintain a calorie deficit (cutting) and when it would be more ok to gain weight (bulking).
Also, how this corresponds to the ratio of strength training vs cardio training.

I understand that this is not Join’s main focus.

Right now I believe the advise from join is:
If you want to lose weight, don’t train or only for maintenance (maintain stamina training program). The goal isn’t weekly hours but weight loss. When on desired weight, then enter a new traiing program with a goal in the future?

The most simple version of this feature for me would be that there would be an option in join to check that you want to lose weight, and that join will tell you, do it ‘in these couple of weeks’ and that join will undrestand that the suggested training in those weeks won’t be as efficient and can’t be that heavy..
