Injuries or sickness

One thing I’ve always thought is lacking from apps like this is some way to modify the trajectory of the training or even pause the training because of some sort of sickness/injury, and the subsequent time off needed to get over it.

Usually you come back from one of these scenarios and the app just wants to pick up where it left off, but obviously you’ve detrained to a certain extent and you’re just not where you were so a recovery period sequence of workouts is more appropriate.

So I wonder if having a self-reported/ pseudo pause where the app can check in on with “are you still resting”, “are you still getting over something?”

Whatever is happening, are you feeling 100% or not…?

I’m sure the learning model accounts for this after you produce a less than optimal result than the algorithm was expecting. I often feel like the gains and losses are not managed well in times like this and the works out don’t match the recovery period.
