It would be great to get a little more explanation why join is choosing this specific workout at that specific date. What are the benefits of this workout what is the goal and which systems are targeted. I really like alle the explanation stuff.
Trainerroad does that really well e.g.:
"The goal of any VO2max workout is to improve both your aerobic efficiency and aerobic power.
By working very hard for brief intervals but only recovering for very short periods of time, these microintervals are extremely effective at improving your ability to sustain and repeat efforts well above FTP.
This improved aerobic capacity & power can also raise your sustainable power and gradually increase your FTP.
These short-duration repeats offer an opportunity to become accustomed to high-intensity work in probably the most manageable manner that doesn't skimp on productivity."
This immediately helps me understand the purpose of this workout and gives me motivation.
Same goes for the whole training plan
I would like to get a whole explanation of the training plan like (This plan starts typically with 4 weeks of Base phase - we are targeting your aerobic system through mostly endurance rides, Tempo and Treshold work). After this we have 8 -10 weeks of build phase and try to raise your FTP/bump you Vo2max/... through mostly short VO2 intervalls / longer treshold intervalls... etc. . At the end we have 3 weeks the mainly target the zones you need for your race event. One week before your event we taper.
I would also like to get an explanation for the current week. This could also feature something like: Last week you did a lot more hours compared to your plan. Because of this we sheduled more endurance rides this week to help recover until we see you are not that fatigued anymore. When you are ready again we scheduled two workouts with high intensity intervalls to get your anaerobic system working. One day with tempo works should help to keep your aerobic base
etc.....
So all in all more WHY this? and WHATS the goal?
