Record GPS data when using workout player outdoors

I love the design of the workout player and prefer using it over a head unit or another phone app to complete my interval training outdoors. However, I would have to use another recording method if I wanted to display a map of my ride on Strava. Please consider recording GPS data for those of us who use the JOIN workout player outdoors.
