Set threshold heart rate separately for running & cycling

I can set my threshold pace for running, and my FTP for cycling, but I can only set my threshold heart rate once, and it seems to be applied to both sports. It’s my understanding that threshold heart rate for running can be about 10 beats per minute higher than for cycling (which on a personal level checks out perfectly if I look at threshold heart rate for cycling from a 20 mins. FTP test and my running threshold heart rate my Garmin gives me: exactly 10 beats difference). Given JOIN only uses one value (and automatically sets it based on cycling, it seems) my running sessions are a) boring because I feel underpaced and b) according to JOIN always too intense because I start ignoring the suggested pace/heart rate.

Request

Either:

  • Use (threshold heart + 10) for running sessions if a user enters a cycling threshold heart rate OR use (threshold heart rate - 10) for cycling sessions if a user enters a running threshold heart rate

  • Allow user to set threshold heart rate for running/cycling separately
