Hi JOIN team,
JOIN tells me which workout to do and when, and I use Komoot to plan my outdoor rides. The problem is that the route and the workout rarely fit together:
The route duration doesn't match the workout duration, so I either cut intervals short or ride filler kilometres
Intervals land in the wrong place: in city traffic with traffic lights and junctions, or on a descent where I can't hold the target power at all
Long steady blocks end up on rolling terrain where holding a zone is impossible
What I'd like: route planning that is aware of the workout structure.
Ideas, roughly in order of usefulness to me:
Route check: import or link a Komoot route, and JOIN tells me whether it fits today's workout — total duration match, plus a warning if intervals would fall on descents, in urban sections or on stop-heavy roads
Interval placement on a known route: given a route I already ride, JOIN shifts the interval blocks to the segments that actually suit them (climbs or steady flat roads for hard efforts, descents and town sections for recovery) and shows me at which kilometre each block starts
Route generation: JOIN suggests or generates a route for today's workout based on my start location, using duration, required continuous stretches and elevation profile as constraints — exportable to Komoot
Komoot account connection so routes can be pulled in and pushed back without manual GPX handling
