When I haven’t been able to do a certain ride but did something else instead, such as a rehabilitation strength session. The idea is to have an option like strength training and duration time that you can log, so that the following day you don’t get VO₂max or strength intervals on the bike. I think this would be useful since many people do strength training in the winter, and it would make sense to include this option in the schedule.

Or do is just adjust move the muscle pain slider to avoid getting vo2max day after?

+1 this - since we want to include strength training sessions to also improve our riding I do think some kind of implementation is essential. Just add a factor that values the exhaustion from lower body sessions e.g. so you don’t get intensive sessions the day after!
To be as fit as you want on the bike, corestability and strength often comes around the corner. Would be nice if there’s a real integration in JOIN instead of just an estimated workout.

This would be super nice, also for injury prevention. For example twice a week some stretches, core stability and activation exercises.

I do the core exercises as described on the Join website and also enjoyed the short youtube series with yoga for cyclists. Not sure if Join needs to track those, but it could be nice to have a tab with recommended exercises available in the app for reference.
Keeping up with the core training is not the most favourable workout for most cyclists. You mentioned in the podcast the importance of keeping up core workouts. Why not adding them to the training schedule? Not to complex, just as an optional seaparate workout that you have to check when finished. Must be stimulating to keep doing them.
Cheers

I really miss this feature! This would make the app a lot more complete!!

I support this feature - I would really like to have strength training incorporated into my training plan as well as the existing running day it already is able to schedule in. It has to be coordinated with hard and easy day on the bike, but in essence, it could be on the same day as an already scheduled bike/run workout.

This is my main frustration and limitation with the platform. I strength train regularly and record each workout in Strava, which syncs with Join. Because I have no way of entering these into my programme ahead of time, the cycling training plan is constantly changing in response to the workouts as I log them.

I support this.
I would appreciate it if I could input the weight training I did, and the app could estimate my overall RPE based on the RPE for each exercise.

Krachttraining plannen
Het zou tof zijn als je krachttraining kan plannen want nu moet je het ingeven op de dag zelf en dan veranderd mijn programma voor de dagen erna.
