Choosing new goal before the last one's finished

When at the end of your goal, would it be possible to choose your next goal in advance? Right now when you're on the last days of your goal, Join won't schedule anything for the week ahead until you pick the next goal. Maybe not the most important as it doesn't happen that often, but I think it would be nice to be able to choose your new goal to start after the old one is finished ahead of time, so you can see what Join has in stock for you in the first week of the new goal while you're still finishing the last bit of the old goal. Doesn't have to be months in advance, but maybe a popup in the last week that you can pick something new? Something for people who like to plan ahead ;o)

Availability beyond one week ahead

Hi, I think it would be a very useful addition and improvement to the app if we could set up availability for 2 (or even more) weeks ahead instead of just one. If you have plans to make or can switch some days around in your ‘normal’ schedule, then this could obviously go beyond 1 week ahead. So it would be very nice to plan your workouts beyond one week ahead as well in my view! Also, join should be intelligent enough to do this already right!? As I understands it, it already ‘plans’ your whole training schedule basically and then just tweaks it based on your availability every week. Who shares this view?

Support different FTP's (Indoor/outdoor)

I have a significant difference between powermeters (indoor 250, outdoor 325). When I complete an indoor session i never achieve the required power levels. When I take a look at other analysis tools like intervals.icu I can set a separate power level for indoor rides. In my workaround I change the FTP in Join before I upload a ride.

A more specific skills/power profile overview

I like the idea of the all in all level. My only problem with it is that I often want to know where exactly I´m at in the current season. I like the idea of Trainerroad progression level or the power profile of the breakaway app. Maybe you come up with a new idea and something similiar. I think of it as mix of: What are my current abilities and what I am currently focusing my training on. eg. If I do an endurance base plan I want to see in an overview that the current focus in on endurance and not VO2, Treshhold etc. I would also help if one is doing a plan that is not as zone specific as an endurance base plan. Maybe it is something more like the power profile view of the breakaway app... This would also be nice as I heard you guys have some periodical tests in some of the plans. The breakaway app has a very pleasant and easy to understand view of those numbers and the according profile types.

Indoor - outdoor switch

I'm a dedicated user of Join, leveraging it both for indoor and outdoor training sessions. Through Join's podcasts and personal experience, I've found a rhythm where I prefer shorter, more intense indoor workouts and longer, endurance-focused outdoor sessions. As I plan my weekly training regimen, I often consult the weather forecast to decide whether to train indoors or outdoors. I would greatly appreciate the addition of a feature within Join that allows me to specify my preference for indoor training. This feature could be integrated into the availability settings or the training selection interface, perhaps as a toggle option. By selecting the indoor training preference, I can ensure that I don't inadvertently receive endurance-focused workouts when training indoors on my smart trainer. Currently, I manually select workouts scheduled for future dates to avoid this issue, but this disrupts the seamless planning process that Join facilitates. Additionally, if previous outdoor sessions have been particularly strenuous, I don't want to override the system's recommendation for a lighter indoor session. Instead, I would welcome prompts from Join suggesting alternatives such as "opt for a leisurely ride" or "consider taking a rest day" based on my training history. Integrating this feature would significantly enhance the efficiency of my workouts and bring me closer to achieving my goals. Thank you for considering this addition to Join's functionality.

Allow user control on Join information posted to connected app (Strava)

Problem statement: The launch from this week auto posts all Join training data to Strava including training done but also someones Join level or fitness status. Currently Join only supports a connected features sync on TRUE or FALSE but does not allow the user to define what data is posted to the connected app (Strava). As a user, I use Strava more as a Facebook like functionality and I do not wish all my followers to see my Join level or training status, this is my private information. Ideally, users have control on what information from Join is publicly made available instead of all Join data of the user. Request: Allow users to toggle on/off what information gets auto posted to connected apps (in this case Strava). i.e. allow the user to toggle on/off the following items being made available outside of join within connected features, advanced settings: Workout type (the Join workout that was planned for the day, if none is planned, Join should not push a workout type) Detailed workout information (i.e. duration, workout score) User performance (Join level and fitness status)

Multiple availabilities per day

Zo kunnen commuters 2 x 1:15 beschikbaarheid instellen per dag, en krijg je dan ook 2 maal de kans om 1 of 2 trainingen (dezelfde 2 keer of 2 verschillende dus) uit te voeren. This way, commuters can set availability for 2 sessions of 1:15 per day, providing them with two opportunities to complete 1 or 2 workouts (either the same workout twice or two different ones).

Add length filter when browsing workouts.

Use case: I’d like to pick a specific endurance workout (or VO2, etc). Currently I need to tap on endurance, then keep scrolling to get down to the length I want. It would be much nicer to have a drop down at the top where I could select a length and have the list filtered down to workouts of that length.

More workout / training plan explanation (goals, targets, etc.)

It would be great to get a little more explanation why join is choosing this specific workout at that specific date. What are the benefits of this workout what is the goal and which systems are targeted. I really like alle the explanation stuff. Trainerroad does that really well e.g.: "The goal of any VO2max workout is to improve both your aerobic efficiency and aerobic power. By working very hard for brief intervals but only recovering for very short periods of time, these microintervals are extremely effective at improving your ability to sustain and repeat efforts well above FTP. This improved aerobic capacity & power can also raise your sustainable power and gradually increase your FTP. These short-duration repeats offer an opportunity to become accustomed to high-intensity work in probably the most manageable manner that doesn't skimp on productivity." This immediately helps me understand the purpose of this workout and gives me motivation. Same goes for the whole training plan I would like to get a whole explanation of the training plan like (This plan starts typically with 4 weeks of Base phase - we are targeting your aerobic system through mostly endurance rides, Tempo and Treshold work). After this we have 8 -10 weeks of build phase and try to raise your FTP/bump you Vo2max/... through mostly short VO2 intervalls / longer treshold intervalls... etc. . At the end we have 3 weeks the mainly target the zones you need for your race event. One week before your event we taper. I would also like to get an explanation for the current week. This could also feature something like: Last week you did a lot more hours compared to your plan. Because of this we sheduled more endurance rides this week to help recover until we see you are not that fatigued anymore. When you are ready again we scheduled two workouts with high intensity intervalls to get your anaerobic system working. One day with tempo works should help to keep your aerobic base etc..... So all in all more WHY this? and WHATS the goal?

Rearrange main menu and make training schedule more prominent

Give the training schedule a more prominent spot in the menu structure. At the moment the menu contains: Articles Workouts Goals/events Chat I don’t checkout the different type of workouts or available goals on a daily basis while I follow a plan. Personally I don’t like/use any social features in Join. Which means there are 2/3 out of the 4 menu options that aren’t used often. In the meanwhile, the most important feature of the app, my training schedule, is somewhat hidden inside the main/articles/overview tab. It would be nice if the trainings schedule got a more prominent spot in the app, and optionally that less frequent used features of the app are a bit more hidden/collected in a separate menu tab.

Make it easy to see all plans and understand how they differ

It would be nice to be able to view all of the plans and understand what they entail at any time. Currently, you can only see the plan you have selected and a very brief description. If you want to know what the other plans are or view their (also very brief) description, you have to cancel your current plan. It would also be nice to have a page with all plans that is always viewable, contains some detail as to what each plan contains, and something to differentiate them. For example, I would like to do a VO2 block, which plan would contain that? What does the progression look like? Etc.

Complement energy level with availability

I travel for work, often Monday-Thursday, and within those four days I will have often worked up to 50 hours already. When I arrive home on Thursday I often want to do a 1-hour ride, but I don't have energy for over-unders or something horrible like that. It would be super if we could add something like an (expected) energy level to an availability. Something like "Light maintenance", " Normal workout effort", or "Ready to give it all" perhaps.

Remove fixed rest day after three days training

After three days of training, JOIN will always give me rest day in my plan. This is independent of my training load in the previous days or availability for the next days. If I know I will not be able to train in the days after the proposed rest day, I now choose an extra workout myself for the forth day. It would be useful if JOIN would look further ahead or would suggest a workout if you do not take the rest day.
